Happy New Year! Happy New Termcard!
Category : Events
Hope you all had fantastic breaks and are excited to be back in lab/library/pit of despair… Anyways, to help you address your work-life balance, we’ve got an action packed term lined up for you. Some things to make a note of especially;
- Bit of Bubbly; Just a little get together with some sparkly stuff, juice and nibbles, to catch up with people this THURSDAY. Or if you haven’t had a chance to come to many MCR events in the past, now’s a great time to get to know some new people!
- Blue Monday pudding party; Jan 24th is predicted to be the most depressing day of the year so we thought we’d combat this with pudding! (No wrestling involved, the dean would not approve) So if you would like to make a cake/pie/something deliciously unhealthy, get in touch, and we’ll stock up on some treats as well. I’ll send out an email nearer the time to prompt dessert chefs.
- The King’s Speech; If you want to go see this, hold your horses, and come with us to the Ultimate Picture Palace on Cowley Rd on 28th Jan. We’ll subsidise your ticket, and there’s a licensed bar, so it’s a bit of a novelty as opposed to the Odeon.
Also, sorry it’s short notice but…
Graduate LGBTQ cocktails at the House Bar Tuesday 11th January, from 8pm Kick off a new term and a new decade with an evening of excellent half-price cocktails alongside the Bright Young Things of Oxford’s gay grad scene. We have the upstairs Games Room to ourselves from 8pm ‘til midnight this Tuesday at the House on Blue Boar Street (www.housebar.co.uk). All welcome. For further info, contact sam roots AT wolfson.ox.ac.uk.
Ok, that’s all for now, there’s plenty more on the termcard so have a peruse. See you Wednesday!
